武士道　著者略歴

今週から、金曜日は新渡戸稲造「武士道」の面白いところを紹介していこうと思います。もともとが英語で書かれているので、勉強になると期待しています。wikipediaによると、新渡戸博士は、盛岡の上級武士の家（祖父は江戸で材木商としても成功した(!)盛岡藩家老）の生まれ(1962)、東京英語学校、札幌農学校卒、ジョンスホプキンス大に私費留学（中退して札幌農学校助教授）・米国人と結婚、ドイツのハレ大学で博士号、札幌農学校教授、体調を崩して休職してカリフォルニアで転地療養中に「武士道」を執筆して世界中でベストセラー(1900)、台湾に役人として赴任して砂糖産業を立ち上げ(1901)、京都帝国大学法科大学…
