金曜日の読書”No B.S. Price Strategy:…”は第21章 “A jury of four but only one decides fate 四人の陪審だが一人だけが運命を決める”,第22章 “Price in recessions 不況時の価格” です。23章、24章もありますが、広告文の実例や情報商材の案内なので、本文はここまでです。21章は、自分、自分の会社の社員、同業者、顧客の４つが価格に影響力を持つが、自分以外の言うことを聞くと価格は底辺をさまようことになる、ということを説明しています。抜粋では伝わらないですが、説得力のあるうまい文章です。22章は、不況時の価格設定について述べています。売れないからと言って安売りしてもいいことはなく、従来通り価格以外のよいところを訴求すること、商品や販売方法を工夫することだと言っています。例として、不況で外食が減ったレストランなら、半調理済みの食材を販売して家で食べてもらう方法を提案しています。これはまさに「中食」としてコロナ下で実行されていましたね。

※この本は今回で終わります。情報商材を売りつけようとする怪しさはありますが、参考になる点も多くありました。くだけた文章に知的な用語がちりばめられていて、売れる文章とはこういうものか、と思いました。次の本は1800年前の中国の詩人 阮籍(Ruan Ji, AD210-263)の詩集を読もうと思います。「三国志（AD 218-268）」の時代の後半に隠棲して詩や音楽にふけった「竹林の七賢」のリーダー格で、忙しい現代と考えが合わないところも多いと思いますが、今後のAI時代の生き方（個人的には労働が無くなっていくと思っています）の参考になることがあるのではないかと期待しています。
