これらは、ニンニク臭、卵の腐った臭い、磯の臭い、またジメチルスルフィドはガス漏れ検知のために都市ガスやプロパンガスに混ぜてあるそうです。
これらの臭いは相互にだいぶ違うように思いますが、濃度によって感じ方が違うのだと思います。高濃度では毒性がありますが、臭いで気が付き、耐えられなくて避難するので大丈夫なのでしょう。また、雲の核になるので温暖化抑止効果があるそうです。でも、くさいのは嫌ですね。
