いわゆるインバウンドは観光庁（国土交通省）が統計を取っています。昨年度の訪日外国人が使ったお金は5.3兆円だそうです。これは日本のGDP 591兆円の1%弱です。

2023年の国をまたいだ旅行者は13億人。使ったお金は1.4trillion USD=210兆円とのことです。日本で使っているお金はその40分の1です。かなり多い割合のような気がしますが、これからどこまで増えるでしょうか。
接客が得意な人など、観光で生き生きと働ける適性の人は一定数いると思いますので、インバウンド旅行者が適切に増えるのはいいことだと思います。自動翻訳機で語学のハードルは下がるでしょう。
外国人旅行者が来すぎて地元民が不便をかこつ「オーバーツーリズム」も対策を考えているようです。
