arm社のCPUは低消費電力で携帯電話で大きなシェアをとっていますが、どのくらい低消費電力なのでしょうか。2014年の記事には下記があります。

ベンチマーク値としては、我々が計算に使っているintel core i9-13900KSが「61970」なのに対し、arm cortex-A72 16core 2200MHz が「5470」なので、11倍の性能差があります。

しかし、消費電力は320W対18W(2015年のcortex-A72 8 coreを使っているKirin 970を2倍した）で、17倍以上です。すなわち、11倍の性能差はあるがエネルギー消費は17分の1なので、性能のエネルギー効率はarmのほうが高いといえるのではないでしょうか。Kirinは、Huawai傘下のHiSilicon社が作っている携帯電話用のCPUで、2020年までさらに省エネルギー高性能のものが開発されました(7nmルールで製造)が、米中対立で製造が停まっていました。しかし、2023年8月29日にarmが設計したarm cortex-A510を使った独自製造のKirin9000sを発表しました。
