コンピュータが与えた情報を学習・咀嚼して人工知能（AI=artificial intelligence）になる機械学習(machine learning)は「教師あり学習」（supervised learning）と「教師無し学習」(unsupervised learning)に分けられます。教師あり学習は、花の写真とその名前の組を大量に与えて、新たな写真から花を識別できるようになるようなものです。教師無し学習は、大量に与えられたデータを近いもの同士に分類するもので、花の例で言えば、写真を似た花の組に分類するようなものです。

presume プリ「ズュ」ーム 確実ではないけれどこうだと思う。to think that something is true, althoug you are not certain.
I presume we will be there by six o’clock. 6時には着くだろうと思う。
assume 仮定する to think that something is true, although you do not have definite proof
I think we can safely assume that interest rates will go up again soon. 利率はすぐまた上がると考えて大丈夫だと思う。←こういう言い回しが使えると会話が楽になります。

guess （that節） は口語で、thinkの代わりに使うと習いました。guess 本来の意味は、「答えを当てる」

“Don’t tell me – you got the job.” “How did you guess?” 言わないで。就職が決まったんでしょう。 どうしてわかったの？ “the” が難しいですね。話し手と聞き手が共通認識を持っている場合です。面接を受けたことを事前に話しているなど、その前に共通認識があるのだと思います。共通認識がない場合は “- you got a job.”になると思います(が、難しいところなので私は間違っているかもしれません）
