今週の孫子は、7章 軍争篇(Maneuvering)からです。「15 故兵以詐立、以利動、16 以分合為変者也。17 故其疾如風、其徐如林、18 侵掠如火、不動如山、19 難知如陰、動如雷霆。20 掠郷分衆、廓地分利、21 懸権而動。22 先知迂直之計者勝。此軍争之法也。」 17と18が武田信玄の旗「風林火山」です。

個人的には19に憧れます。

Ponder and deliberate before you make a move. 22. He will conquer who has learnt the artifice of deviation. Such is the art of maneuvering.
practice 「練習する」だけではなく「実践する」と訳すべき場合もあります。ここはそれ。

compact weblioでは「(ぎっしり)目の詰んだ、質の密な、ぎっしり詰まった、密集した、引き締まった、がっしりした、小さくて経済的な、小型の、こぢんまりした、簡潔な」日本語は「しずかなること林のごとし」です。ちょっとずれている感じがしますが、うまい英訳だと思います。
raid 奇襲（する） > air raid で空襲。 皆さんはハードディスクの冗長化、Redundant Arrays of Inexpensive DisksのRAIDのほうが先に出るかもしれませんが、こちらも基本単語なので覚えておいてください。
